Seven count as confirmed. Dries Van Noten and Isabel Marant described theirs in their own words, and for five more, at least two publishers did. The eighth, Balenciaga, rests on one publication, Harper’s Bazaar, and on our reading of the house’s photograph. Those 25 make up a sample, about a quarter of the 101 houses on the week’s official calendar. In the index, shoes share a row with dress straps made of jewelry; together they top its nine rows, at 11. Counted without the straps, only earrings to the collarbone or larger reached more houses: ten, counting estimates. The method and the whole table are in our house-by-house count.
From the houses themselves
Dries Van Noten’s own caption for the collection, posted October 3, reads: “Brooches, necklaces and charms become part of the clothes, the shoes, and the story they tell.” The brooches and charms were stitched on, and Harper’s Bazaar’s standout there was “a pump covered in a rainbow of rhinestones”.
Isabel Marant’s notes list “beaded low-cut boots” among the accessories, and WWD picked out strappy shoes “with tiny colored stone embellishments”.
Rick Owens, who usually prefers platform boots, showed strappy sandals and Perspex wedge thongs, and in WWD’s review he called them “pretty, sparkly shoes”. Under some of the dresses, feet were wrapped “in thick ropes of crystal”.
Balenciaga’s own photograph of its Dahlia Thong 70, posted October 4, shows a thong whose strap we read as a chain of big, rounded, gold-colored links, an estimate from one frame. Harper’s Bazaar described Pierpaolo Piccioli’s thong heel for Balenciaga with a chain “woven into its straps”, “mimicking the jewelry he showed with the collection”.

On the shoe itself
Saint Laurent’s shoe designer, Corrado De Biase, had the sandals made with techniques from jewelry making, WWD’s Footwear News reported. The rest of what that show put on the feet is in what Saint Laurent showed for spring 2027.
Dior’s strappy kitten-heel sandals in shiny silver-tone leather carried rhinestones and bows, “jewelry-draped” in Footwear News’s word. Chanel’s pumps came “ornately embellished with buttons, bows, and beads”, as Who What Wear put it.
How the houses wore it
- Match the anklet to the sandal. Isabel Marant’s notes say “sparkly sandals come with matching anklets”.
- Repeat the chain from the neck. At Balenciaga, NSS Magazine saw a wide-link chain worn at the neck and wrist come back “as an anklet above a transparent sandal”.
- Wear the charms over tights. Loewe’s charm sandals went over tights of several colors, black, blue and red among them.
Matched or not, an anklet is worn above the shoe, not on it, so the count above leaves it out.
When the shoes reach stores, and whether it lasts
Chanel’s site puts its spring/summer 2027 collection in boutiques from March 2027, and Loewe’s offers an alert for the collection’s arrival without naming a month. More houses and dates are in when you can buy the jewelry from the Paris spring 2027 shows, and what else each house put on its models is in our notes on Dior, Chanel and Dries Van Noten.
To The Zoe Report, “the decked-out shoes that walked the Paris runways” were “perhaps the strongest indicator” that fashion was moving from minimal to maximal. Harper’s Bazaar, which found that designers in New York had gone “the minimalist route” with their shoes, ended its Paris shoe report on “Only time will tell if the industry is ready to go all in.”
If you want to try it
Among our anklets, the Serpent Anklet is two sterling silver chains side by side, a snake chain and a narrow textured one, closed with a lobster clasp.
