This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you visit tatonjewelry.com, buy from us, or write to us. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Taton LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States. We are the controller of the information described here. You can reach us any time at hello@tatonjewelry.com.
What we collect
When you buy: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered. Your card details go directly to our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.
When you write to us: whatever you put in the message, and your email address so we can reply.
When you subscribe: your email address, and nothing else.
When you browse: your device, browser, approximate location from your IP address, and which pages you looked at. This arrives through cookies and similar technology.
What we use it for
To take your order, pack it, ship it and tell you where it is. To answer you. To handle returns and refunds. To keep the shop working and to spot fraud. To send you email you asked for — and only that; every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Who else sees it
Shopify hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf. Our payment processor handles the payment. Carriers get the name and address needed to deliver the parcel. That is the list. We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your order leaves the United States, and you should know that
Every piece is packed by hand in our studio in Ukraine and then flown to the United States. That means your name and shipping address are handled in Ukraine in order to make up and send your parcel. We use them for that and nothing else. If you would rather not have your details handled outside the United States, do not order from us — we would rather lose the sale than surprise you.
Cookies
The shop needs some cookies to work at all — your cart, your session, security. Others help us understand which pages people actually read. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser; the shop will still work, but your cart may not follow you between visits.
How long we keep it
Order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in the United States means several years. Support emails while they are useful, then no longer. Marketing subscriptions until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Ask at hello@tatonjewelry.com and we will answer within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for asking.
If you are in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or another state with its own privacy law, those rights are yours by statute, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which, as above, is not something we do. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you may also object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This shop is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If your child has given us something, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and payments are handled by a processor built for it. No system is perfect, so please do not send us anything sensitive by email — we will never ask you for your card number, and if someone claiming to be us does, it is not us.
If this policy changes
We will post the new version on this page. If a change matters to you, we will say so rather than hoping you do not notice.
